Seals

Discover our ranges of food and non-food gaskets for tank doors and hatches.
The optimal use of a gasket in service and its lifespan are highly dependent on the storage conditions to which it has been subjected prior to use. The ageing resistance of seals at static rest differs greatly from one elastomer to another.

However, a storage life of two years is guaranteed for all seals, subject to compliance with controlled storage conditions (seals laid flat without tension, at room temperature, protected from light, heat and bad weather, away from any ozone sources (anti-static bars...).
These conditions apply to all types of elastomer. This information is based on reliable information provided by our suppliers and does not in any way engage our responsibility.

High-temperature resistant compounds

The chemical resistance of rubbers is strongly influenced either by the temperature of the liquid in contact, or by the duration of this contact, or finally, in the case of chemical solutions by the concentration of the active product... The resistance values given opposite are for information purposes only and may be modified by the following determining factors: constitution of the rubber compound, variable temperatures, variable loads or elongations, atmospheric agents, duration of exposure, etc. *Viton® is a registered trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomer.

Optimal storage conditions

Optimal seal quality and use in service, and its service life, are highly dependent on the storage conditions experienced by the seal prior to use.

The aging resistance of seals at static rest is also very different from one elastomer to another. However, a storage life of two years is guaranteed for all seals provided the following conditions are met:

  • At room temperature
  • Protected from light, heat and weather
  • Away from all sources of ozone (antistatic bars...)

These conditions remain valid for all types of elastomer. This information is based on reliable information provided by our suppliers and in no way involves our responsibility.
